Knitting Patterns

Reversible Purse
This purse (wallet) is big enough to take a mobile phone, credit card, and keys out for the night!
You will need:
50g GiftedKnits aran in Colour A (Jade)
50g GiftedKnits aran in Colour B (Crystal)
5mm needles
2 buttons 2cm diameter
Darning needle
Overall size: 15cm x 11cm with a 5cm flap

Pattern:
Using the two colours together, cast on 24 PAIRS of stitches (48 sts)
Row 1: Holding both colours together, Knit the first Colour A stitch with Colour A, bring both colours forward between needles, Purl Colour B stitch with Colour B. Rep to end of row.
Row 2: K1 Colour B, Yarn fwd, P1 Colour A; rep to end.
Repeat these two rows until you have worked 22 rows.
Next, using BOTH colours together, k2tog, 24 pairs.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 for 6 rows
Now work the 3 rows of pattern as follows:
Row 7: *K1A, P1B 4 times, K1B, P1A; rep from * to end of row
Row 8: K1B, P1A 3 times, *K1A, P1B 3 times, K1B, P1A 2 times ; rep from * to last 3 pairs of sts, K1B, P1A 3 times
Row 9: Repeat row 7.
Next repeat original rows 1 and 2 and work for 13 rows .
Flap:
Using the two colours together to cast off (bind off) 1 PAIR of sts, then continue to use the double knitting technique to the end of the row.
Continue to cast off 1 pair of sts at beg of next 6 rows .
Buttonhole:
Cast of 1 pair sts, continue double knitting for 7 pairs of sts, cast off 3 pairs of sts, continue double knitting to end of row.
Cast off 1 pair sts, continue double knitting for 7 pairs of sts, turn, cast on 2 pairs, sl1, bring yarn fwd, move slip st back onto right needle, cast on 1 pair, double knit to end.
Casting off 1 pair of sts at beg of every row, continue double knitting for 3 rows.
Cast off all remaining pairs of sts.
Make up:
Spray both sides with water and lightly press.
Fold fabric at 'hinge' and sew up sides
Fold over flap and sew one button on either side at the button hole point.
