‘Hand Knitting’
|
This course introduces hand knitting from scratch. The skills you'll learn include how to knit: casting on, knit, purl and casting off; the tension square and why it matters; making stitch patterns with knit and purl; ways to increase and decrease and their use in shaping; how to read a knitting pattern; picking up stitches, and sewing techniques for finishing; knitting cables; short row shaping; circular knitting and how to knit socks. We also include sessions on designing your own bag and other garments.
